I didn't have any more conventions planned until Geek Village at the end of year, when this one was recommended to me by a friend. Fun fact: I used to live less than 10 km away from La Louvière for 4 years and didn't even know they had a cosplay convention going on! Since the ticket prices were really low I decided to take a weekend ticket and use the opportunity to visit some friends back there too. It's a win-win situation!
I decided to bring two different cosplays so I could change during the weekend, and the pick fell on Mihawk for Saturday and Cammy for Sunday!
The first day was a great surprise, since I hadn't fully expected the convention to be so packed full of Christmas vibes! Christmas music all day long, lots of Christmas cosplay, Christmas lights everywhere... it really was a great setting. The convention was not as big as I had expected, so after browsing the stands for a while and buying myself a gorgeous snowflake obsidian pendulum I sat down to watch the cosplay competition and have a snack. I met up with some great people afterwards and we browsed the stands a bit more together. I was quite tired from the drive the day before so I went home early to get a good rest and have another great day tomorrow!
The second day I brought out Cammy, and this time I did not forget to make the scar on her cheek (like I did last time, oops). It was COLD outside but nice and warm inside. While doing my second day tour of the stands I noticed a photographer with a Christmas backdrop who offered free shoots, and after some mild convincing from his side I decided to give it a go and take some Christmas Cammy pictures. It was a fun thing to do, especially since it's quite out of my comfort zone to take seasonal pictures like this but I can't wait to get them back! Because I had a super long drive home ahead of me I decided to have lunch at the con and head home afterwards.
Even though I didn't stay very long either day it was still a nice convention to visit, pairing it with visiting my friends really made it worth it and I'll get Christmas Cammy pictures too!
