Ahsoka Tano - Star Wars Rebels

The Inspiration

This is my first cosplan that actually came because of a convention. My little brother was going to Comiccon Holland and that would be on May 4th, Star Wars day. Because it was such an epic coincidence, I really wanted to go there in a cosplay fit for that theme! I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I did see all the films and the Mandalorian (which is gold). I had a bit of a struggle to decide on a character, because I like to cosplay characters that really stand out, either with their outfit or because of something special like facepaint, scales, props...

I knew about Ahsoka and I considered her a few times, let go of the idea because just how was I going to make the lekku, reconsidered it, found a magnificent pattern for the lekku and armour on Etsy and decided to push through on her!

She really has this badass look on her, and I think the lekku is something that really catches the eye and makes her stand out. Her armour is a great way to start working with EVA foam too!

Time it took to finish this cosplay: just over 3 months (January 2025 - April 2025)

Skills I learned for this cosplay: working with an EVA foam pattern, working with acrylic caulk, working with spandex, working with foam clay, cutting 45° angles in foam, sewing patterns on fabric
