Epic Leafmen Archer

The Inspiration

Ever since I saw the film Epic I was obsessed with the Leafmen. Every single detail about them intrigued me: their leaf-shaped bracers, the helmets which resembled humming birds, the difference between male and female armour, riding hummingbirds... For me this was one of those rare occasions where you can see that ever line was thought through and every detail was precised. 

It took me a bit to realize that this was a costume that I wanted to make myself too. It has some knicks and knacks, like my inability to work properly with foam and almost no references for the female archers, but nothing that couldn't be solved with some intense Youtube DIY-ing and rewatching the film Epic!
