Dutch Comic Con, the classic. My very first con on my own, by myself. There would be a Star Wars group photo so I decided to bring Ahsoka!
DCC was, as always, busy and full of cosplayers. I got a lot of compliments on Ahsoka and the group photo was amazing. So many dedicated cosplayers, and even kids with self-made Mandalorian helmets from cardboard and tape which made me really happy. I spotted one of my childhood heroes, Pieter Post (Postman Pat for my non-Dutchies) and he even had his cat Snoes with him so of course I had to get a picture of us together!
For lunch I had one of the best convention foods I ever found: salmon pokébowl. It was great, surprisingly affordable and really pulled me up for another round of the dealer hall. I got a Royal Dutch Navy sticker (the military had a stand there) which is now proudly stuck on my sewing machine (along with the Samuraipool, a Nintendo sticker, a Fuuki sticker and a dragon sticker from my local foam shop)!
Going by myself was a great decision, it was very liberating to just walk around and not have to wait for anyone and mostly to be able to call it a day when I was tired. Definitely doing this again!
