Atusacon was a little unplanned and came with a few setbacks before I even went there. I had taken it off my planning because I would be coming back from a roadtrip the day before, but when we decided to finish our roadtrip earlier I swooped in and got my Sunday Atsusa ticket last minute anyways!
The first setback came when I registered myself for the costume competition on Sunday with Raven and they decided to move it to Saturday because there were too few participants. I was quite sad about that because I had high hopes for Raven and wanted to try again to compete and work with my stage nerves. The second setback was that Comiccon Open Air had decided to organize in the same weekend, which meant that basically everybody diverted and decided to go there instead of Atsusa. The third setback was that I had really hoped to do another Cosplaycloud photoshoot like last year and get some awesome pictures of Raven, but they decided to put up their photobooth only and not offer shoots (no hate at all, Cosplaycloud are the real OG's and I respect their choice). So, with all these setbacks following each other up in about a day from buying my tickets I was a little hesitant to go because I was getting the feeling that Comiccon Open Air was robbing Atsusa of visitors and vibes, but since we gotta support the little ones I prepped Raven anyways and went on my merry way!
