My very first convention! I've wanted to do cosplay for a very long time but I never had the guts to actually start and go to cons (public opinions on cosplay and such things), but my friend persuaded me and Facts is the first in (hopefully) a long list of conventions that I visit!
My Mad Hatter cosplay was finished after we bought our tickets and I was so ready. My friend had told me that people like to take pictures with you and compliment you and I was a little nervous. We decided to go to the photobooth and get a few pictures, and while we were waiting there a lady came up to me and told me my Mad Hatter was 'zalig' (Flemish for delicious) and I could've hugged her! The photobooth was amazing and it was super nice to get a professional picture of my cosplay.
I saw so many nice things, all kinds of shops full of anime stuff and just overall geek stuff and it was awesome. There was a real life samurai armour (not for sale unfortunately) and if I could've bought it I think I would've. I also saw the best cooking spatula ever, didn't buy it and still regret it. I'm going to hunt that spatula down on every con and if I find it, it's mine!
My first con was overwhelming but so nice! I got a lot of nice words for my cosplay and I'm so ready to do this much more often and with full dedication!
